The short version? We are devoted to fighting for a food system free of intensive animal farming, guided by animal welfare, human health and the protection of the planet. And we are incredibly good at it.
Some time ago, we envisioned a world without intensive animal farming. We liked that image so much that since then, we haven't stopped pursuing it. We are creating a food system where neither cages nor animal suffering exist.
How are we achieving this? We make businesses and institutions commit to eliminating the suffering of farmed animals. We're not discussing minor changes here; we're talking about a genuine, far-reaching revolution that we're strategically launching on a large scale.
At the Animal Welfare Observatory (AWO), we persevere and are committed to seeing our campaigns through to the end, without giving in to challenges. And most importantly, we focus on achieving results and generating a positive impact for animals. We are specialists in our field and change agents committed to a more ethical and sustainable food system.
They say that variety is the spice of life, so we decided to have the most versatile, diverse team possible. From activists and animal welfare experts to professional political lobbyists, not forgetting the highly creative Communications Department (we are, aren’t we?). We also have an Operations Department that makes our lives easier. And, of course, fundraising, which makes it possible for us to do everything we want.
And no, we haven't forgotten about our great army of volunteers. It's just that we wanted to dedicate a separate paragraph to them because of how incredible they are.
